Charlotte Murphy, Esq.
A native of the Boston area, Attorney Murphy is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Boston College and earned her JD from Boston College Law School in 1984. For years, in addition to her mediation work, Charlotte represented both plaintiffs and defendants in litigated divorce cases. Recognizing the emotional and financial costs of traditional divorce litigation to her clients, Charlotte stopped representing litigants in 2020. She has limited her practice to mediation, a more peaceful solution to the resolution of a marriage. In mediation, Charlotte’s clients can reduce the costs and emotional distress associated with litigation. In addition to maintaining their privacy, divorcing couples retain control over decisions involving their children, finances, and property. Working together with a neutral mediator, couples can amicably conclude their marriage in a cost-effective manner.
Charlotte is a member in good standing of both the state and federal courts in Massachusetts and the First Circuit Federal Court of Appeals. She is one of Massachusetts’ “Super Lawyers” in the field of family law, a distinction achieved by only five percent of practicing attorneys.
